New showroom and new partnerships add to growth | Rug Report

High Pile Designs, a rug brand founded by two sisters who are Colorado natives, aims to blend artistry and purpose. Supporting women has always been at the heart of the company’s mission.

To that end, High Pile has partnered with Qirgit Studios. Based in Izmir, Turkey, the studio collaborates with a women’s weaving cooperative, offering women from nearby towns an alternative to field labor. By providing fair wages, Qirqit Studios empowers these women to continue weaving, preserving the craft for generations to come.

Through this partnership, High Pile Designs is expanding its sustainable, handmade product line to include made-to-order, custom rugs. These rugs will be available in a variety of designs, colors, and sizes.

“We founded High Pile Designs to share our passion for these textiles that are becoming obsolete while giving back to the women who never get credit for their work,” said Carly Taylor, co-founder of High Pile Designs. “Every piece we source and create reflects the incredible talent of women weavers and our commitment to sustaining this beautiful art form.”
